Awana is for kids ages 3 through 6th grade and meets on Wednesdays September –April. Ages 3–4 are the "Cubbies," Kindergarten–2nd Grade are our "Sparks," and 3rd–6th grade is our "Truth & Training" group.
The Cubbies go through their Awana book together, learning one verse each week. (They are encouraged to work on their verses at home!) They also sing songs, make crafts, and have a treat at every gathering. Books and uniforms are available to purchase.
The Sparks go through their Awana books at their own pace and are encouraged to memorize their verses at home in preparation for Wednesday night. Along with having "table time" where they say their verses, they also have game time in the gym and "council time," which is where they sing worship songs and learn a lesson from the Bible.
Our "Truth & Training" group also has table time, game time, and council time. The boys and girls are split up for game time and table time, but then come together for council time.
