CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE
The Christmas Eve Service on Tuesday, December 24, at 5:00pm will help set the tone for your family’s Christmas celebration by beginning the evening with your hearts and minds focused on the Savior who gives us reason to celebrate. It is also a wonderful occasion for inviting your friends and family members who have not yet received God’s gracious gift of salvation through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
CHRISTMAS OFFERING
During the Christmas season, we celebrate God’s amazing gift to us of His Son to be our Savior. If you would like to express your gratitude by giving Him an extra gift beyond your normal giving to His work through Calvary Baptist Church, you can use an offering envelope marked for the Christmas Offering or select that fund when you give electronically. These gifts have been designated this year for Spring Valley Bible Camp. Recently a leak was discovered at the lodge. The water eventually leaked through the insulation and into the attic. More problems were found after moving the insulation. Our gifts will provide help toward the camp’s unexpected expenses, so they can continue to minister to the many groups who use the lodge.
A CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITH THE CALVARY CHOIR
The Calvary Choir invites you to join them for a Christmas Celebration on Sunday, December 15, at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. There will be delicious goodies to enjoy as you and your friends and family gather around tables adorned with Christmas decorations. The choir will sing some Christmas music for you and also sing some traditional carols with you. It will be a festive evening celebrating the good news of our Savior’s birth.
SALT & PEPPER RETIREES FELLOWSHIP
Plan to join us for “A Casual Christmas” on Wednesday, December 11 at 11:00am. We will be viewing a new Christmas musical, “Journey to Bethlehem,” on the BIG screen and enjoying tenderloin sandwiches from Oscar’s for lunch. The cost is $8/person. Contact Nadene Roberts or Donna Voss for more information.
BAKERS AND DELIVERY DRIVERS NEEDED
It's that time of year again! The deaconesses are asking for people to volunteer to make 2 dozen cookies, which will be delivered to our shut-ins. Cookies need to be baked and delivered to the church kitchen BEFORE 3:00pm on Tuesday, December 10. Please label your cookie donations: "Shut-Ins.” We also need people to volunteer to deliver the cookies to shut-ins. The cookie trays that you will deliver can be picked up in Room 14 on Wednesday, December 11 or Thursday, December 12 before 3:00pm. If you are interested in helping with baking or delivery, please sign up at the Welcome Center or contact Marla at the church office.
WINTER BLOOD DRIVE
Save the date! Nadene Roberts and ImpactLife will host Calvary’s 22nd blood drive on Monday, February 3. (The last date to donate and still be eligible for this drive is December 9.) To sign up or to receive more information on becoming a donor, contact Nadene or visit Bloodcenter.org.

LETTERS OF APPRECIATION
Dear Calvary Baptist Family,
Thank you for the memorial gift for Dorothy. It is going towards fresh water in Central Congo through the Methodist church. She always had a heart for helping others and will be greatly missed.
Thank you again, Lexie and David French
To all of the faithful at Calvary Baptist,
As an MEI board member, I want to say how grateful we are for your generous gifts. This year alone, almost 1000 global workers have been shown love, and have been cared for because of your faithful support. Thank you and God bless you!
Jim, on the behalf of the MEI Board
COME FOR SOME FUN! (and meaningful ministry, too!)
Invite your family and friends to join you at Calvary at 6:00pm on Sunday, December 8, for the Sonshine Singers’ fun-filled presentation of “The Christmas Llama Drama.” Silliness and seriousness combine to creatively communicate the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Don’t miss it!
YOUTH CHRISTMAS PARTY
On Wednesday, December 18 at 6:30pm, the Calvary teens will be celebrating the birth of our Savior with a party in the youth building. Please bring snacks and drinks to share and a small gift (under $10) to exchange.
